        "content": "<p>Midas Kapiti software<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Computer software producer PT Midas Kapiti<br>\nInternational has said the Indonesian market for banking software<br>\nremains promising despite the country's ailing banking industry.<\/p>\n<p>Company president K.K. Grover said on Monday that local banks<br>\nwhich would manage to weather the current crisis would be forced<br>\nto modernize their technology to compete with multinational banks<br>\nin the country's liberalized market in the future.<\/p>\n<p>He said the company has increased its manpower to 18 people<br>\nthis year from two people last year to anticipate the future<br>\ngrowth of demand for its software products from local banks.<\/p>\n<p>The company sells banking software which integrates banking<br>\ndatabase and enable banks to quickly access them. The software<br>\ncosts between US$150,000 and $1 million.<\/p>\n<p>The company has installed its software in 13 banks, including<br>\nlocal, joint venture and foreign banks, and targets to get two<br>\nnew customers this year.<\/p>\n<p>Midas Kapiti, which started operations in Indonesia last year,<br>\nis a subsidiary of Britain's Midas Kapiti International.
