        "content": "<p>Microsoft expands marketing<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Microsoft Indonesia is expanding its marketing<br>\nwings in the country by assigning PT Sistech Kharisma as the<br>\nsecond distributor of Microsoft products here.<\/p>\n<p>Andy B.T. Khoo of Microsoft Indonesia said yesterday that the<br>\nappointment of the new distributor is to support Microsoft's<br>\nefforts to tap the domestic computer software market, which is<br>\nstill marred by allegedly rampant copyright violations.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Sistech, other Microsoft products -- Disk<br>\nOperating System, Windows '95, MS Office, MS Word, MS Plus,<br>\nVisual Basic, Visual Foxpro, VisualC++ -- are distributed here by<br>\nPT Tech Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>Sistech's business manager, David Yaohari, said the sales<br>\ngrowth of computer software in Indonesia is behind hardware<br>\ngrowth due to copyright violations.<\/p>\n<p>The sales of personal computers in Indonesia, which reached<br>\nsome 350,000 sets last year, are projected to increase to more<br>\nthan 500,000 sets this year.
