        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - The Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has reported that\nthe implementation of the Online Single Submission (OSS) system for\nissuing Business Identification Numbers (NIB) has been dominated by\nmicro enterprises, with 12.982 million NIBs recorded for this\ncategory.<\/p>\n<p>BKPM Deputy for Investment Climate Development Riyatno said the OSS\nsystem was developed as part of the government\u2019s structural reform to\ncreate a healthier, more transparent and efficient business climate. By\nholding an NIB, business operators gain legal certainty as well as\neasier access to financing, markets, training and mentoring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe NIB issuance period is calculated from 4 August 2021 to 30 July\n2025. The total reached nearly 13 million NIBs,\u201d said Riyatno when met\nat the Ministry of MSMEs office in Jakarta on Friday (18\/7).<\/p>\n<p>Riyatno detailed that of the total, 96.83 per cent or 12.571 million\nNIBs belonged to micro enterprises. \u201cThis demonstrates the extraordinary\nenthusiasm of micro business operators in utilising the OSS system for\ntheir business legality,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, small enterprises accounted for 295,108 NIBs (2.27 per\ncent) and medium enterprises for 35,251 NIBs (0.27 per cent).<\/p>",
