        "content": "<p>Metromini strike enters 3rd day<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Around 40 Metromini drivers plying a East<br>\nJakarta route went to the City Land Transportation Agency<br>\nyesterday to demand that two new Metromini vehicles be banned<br>\nfrom the route.<\/p>\n<p>The drivers have been striking since Monday in protest of the<br>\nnew vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>An agency official in charge of traffic and transport control,<br>\nDasuki, said the limit for Metromini buses on the Kampung Melayu-<br>\nKampung Rambutan route was 60 vehicles but there were presently<br>\nonly 46, including the two new ones.<\/p>\n<p>The Suara Pembaruan afternoon daily reported yesterday that<br>\ndrivers insisted the route was overcrowded. The agency eventually<br>\nagreed to temporarily withdraw the two Metromini buses from fleet<br>\nnumber T53.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Actually the addition of vehicles is the responsibility of<br>\nMetromini&apos;s operations director,&quot; Dasuki said. The agency will<br>\ndiscuss the problem with the company, he added. (anr)<\/p>",
