Commissioner Mustofa and his entourage then\nmet Kirman, a resident who has been paralysed due to a stroke for 2.5\nyears. Mustofa stated that the wheelchair assistance is a form of the\nIndonesian National Police\u2019s concern for coastal communities. He\nemphasised that the police are present not only to maintain security but\nalso to help residents in need. \u201cWe provide this assistance as a\nmanifestation of our concern for the community. May this wheelchair help\nMr Kirman in his daily activities and bring benefits to the recipient,\u201d\nsaid Commissioner Mustofa. He stressed that Polairud\u2019s duties extend\nbeyond securing water areas. More than that, he said, Polairud is also\npresent to provide services and care to coastal communities. \u201cWe want\nthe Indonesian National Police to truly be present among the people.
