The suspects conducted their illicit\noperations by disguising their sales activities under various legitimate\nbusiness fronts, ranging from mobile phone shops to grocery stores.<\/p>\n<p>The first arrest took place on Wednesday, 11 March at approximately\n21:00 WIB at a mobile phone shop located on Jalan Nangka, Kelurahan\nTanjung Barat, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. The case began with public\ninformation regarding suspicions of illegal hard drug distribution being\nsold covertly through mobile phone sales operations. Following up on the\nreport, the Investigation Team of Unit 2, Subdivision 3 of the Narcotics\nDirectorate conducted an investigation and visited the location.\nOfficers successfully apprehended one suspect with the initials MI (18)\nand recovered 454 tablets of hard drugs.<\/p>\n<p>The second arrest saw the apprehension of two male suspects with the\ninitials B (30) and ML (20) during a raid at a rented house in the\nCimanggis area, Depok City. The Depok case originated from public\ninformation about hard drug sales disguised as a grocery shop business\nat a shop house. However, upon the officers\u2019 arrival, the shop house was\nclosed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe team subsequently received further information that the\ndistribution activities were being conducted at a rented house on Jalan\nBenda Kramat, Cisalak, Cimanggis. During the police search, 1,897\ntablets of Class G drugs were seized,\u201d stated Kombes Budi Hermanto, Head\nof Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, on Sunday, 15 March\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>In total, police have apprehended three suspects and seized 2,351\ntablets of Class G hard drugs. Kompol Denny Simanjuntak, Chief of Unit\n2, Subdivision 3, confirmed that the three perpetrators apprehended were\nM.I (18) in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, and M.L. (20) and B. (30)\nin the Cimanggis area, Depok.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe evidence secured includes drugs listed in Class G and\npsychotropic substances totalling approximately 2,400 tablets and money\nfrom sales proceeds.
