        "content": "<p>The General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) of the\nMetro Jaya Regional Police has declared its readiness to comply with the\nSouth Jakarta District Court decision regarding the continuation of the\ninvestigation into the acid attack targeting Andrie Yunus, Vice\nCoordinator of KontraS. The police are committed to reopening the case\nin accordance with the pre-trial judge\u2019s order.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of General Criminal Investigation of Metro Jaya Police,\nCommissioner Iman Imannuddin, emphasised that the institution fully\nrespects the legal ruling. As a law enforcement agency, Metro Jaya\nPolice will conduct the investigation process in accordance with\napplicable regulations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegarding the court decision at the South Jakarta District Court\nconcerning the victim, Mr Andrie Yunus, we certainly respect the\nverdict,\u201d Iman stated in Jakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Iman explained that investigators will immediately take further legal\nsteps. Given the involvement of Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI)\npersonnel in this case, Metro Jaya Police will establish intensive\ncommunication and coordination with relevant agencies, including the\nmilitary.<\/p>\n<p>During the trial, Single Judge Suparna granted part of the petition\nfiled by Andrie Yunus\u2019s legal team. The judge ordered the Metro Jaya\nPolice to continue the legal process regarding police report number\nLP\/A\/222\/III\/2026\/Sat Reskrim\/Restro Jakpus\/Polda Metro Jaya, dated 13\nMarch 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Legal counsel for Andrie Yunus has urged the police to pursue other\nperpetrators. Based on CCTV footage, it is suspected that a total of 16\nindividuals were involved in the terror attack. There are allegations of\ninvolvement by civilians and intellectual actors who have not yet been\nbrought to justice.<\/p>\n<p>To date, four TNI personnel suspected of being field perpetrators are\nbeing detained and are undergoing trial in a military court. With this\npre-trial decision, Metro Jaya Police are expected to uncover the roles\nof civilians and the masterminds behind the acid attack, which had\npreviously stalled due to the transfer of files to the military\ncourt.<\/p>",
