Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Metro Jaya Regional Police have provided\nsecurity services for 47 activities taking place in Jakarta and its\nsurrounding areas, consisting of three public demonstrations and 44\ncommunity events on Saturday.<\/p>\n
\u201cSecurity services have been prepared according to the\ncharacteristics, location, and number of participants for each\nactivity,\u201d said the Head of Public Relations for Metro Jaya Police,\nKombes Pol. Budi Hermanto, in Jakarta on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Budi stated that the police have coordinated with the Indonesian\nNational Armed Forces (TNI), local governments, organisers, and relevant\nagencies to ensure that all series of activities proceed safely,\norderly, and smoothly.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur personnel are deployed according to the needs of each location\nto provide security services and to ensure a sense of safety and comfort\nfor both participants and the public active around the event locations,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
Several activities expected to attract large crowds include the\nNational Remembrance Dhikr and Prayer at the National Monument (Monas)\nfield, with an estimated 100,000 participants. Additionally, a friendly\nmatch between Aston Villa and the Indonesia All-Stars at the Gelora Bung\nKarno Main Stadium is expected to draw approximately 40,000 spectators,\nalongside the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 at\nICE BSD City, which anticipates around 20,000 visitors.<\/p>\n
Other scheduled events include SKYAVENUE 2026 at Istora Senayan,\nSocial Chic 2026 at the GBK Madya Stadium, and an Iwan Fals & Band\nconcert in Depok.<\/p>\n
Further activities include the Ministerial Convention and Stewardship\nSummit 2026 at the Basilea Convention Centre, the \u2018Glenn Fredly Kembali\nke Timur\u2019 music performance at Plaza Festival Kuningan, the 25th\nAnniversary of the Forum Betawi Rempug (FBR) in Kemayoran, and the\nRegional Working Meeting (Rakerda) of the PAN DPD for East Jakarta.<\/p>\n
He added that for the National Remembrance Dhikr and Prayer at Monas,\nMetro Jaya Police are involving 7,643 joint personnel. Meanwhile, 1,450\njoint personnel have been stationed to provide security for the friendly\nmatch between Aston Villa and the Indonesia All-Stars at the Gelora Bung\nKarno Main Stadium.<\/p>\n
\u201cSecurity services are being carried out professionally, humanely,\nand in an integrated manner through pre-emptive and preventive measures,\nincluding early detection, patrols, open and undercover security, as\nwell as situational traffic management according to field conditions,\u201d\nsaid Budi.<\/p>\n
Budi urged members of the public attending these events to arrive\nearly, account for travel time, utilise public transport where possible,\nand follow the instructions of officers on the ground. He also advised\nthose not involved in the activities to use alternative routes to avoid\ntraffic congestion.<\/p>\n
