        "content": "<p>Metro Jaya bus shelter<\/p>\n<p>From Kompas<\/p>\n<p>Police have banned private cars from dropping off passengers<br>\nat the bus stop in front of the Metro Jaya Police Office on Jalan<br>\nGatot Subroto, Jakarta, since Sept. 27. Those who try to do so<br>\nare usually chased away by police officers.<\/p>\n<p>In the morning hours, however, private car drivers usually<br>\npick up passengers for free to bypass the three-in-one<br>\nregulation.<\/p>\n<p>So what is the purpose of the restriction? Is it to enforce<br>\nthe three-in-one regulation? Or is it to boost the use of public<br>\ntransportation? Perhaps the police are clearing traffic to allow<br>\nthe cars of top officials to pass?<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to an answer to quash assumptions that<br>\ntransportation officials have not taken arbitrary measures.<\/p>\n<p>If there is a restrictive rule, please put it up on a sign for<br>\nall to see so officials won&apos;t need to run around herding<br>\nincalcitrant cars away from the restricted area.
