"summary": "Meta is reportedly planning to reduce its workforce by approximately 20 per cent, according to sources cited by Reuters, though the timing and exact number of affected employees remain unspecified. The technology giant, which currently employs 78,865 staff members, has instructed senior executives to begin planning the redundancies, though Meta's spokesperson dismissed the report as speculation. The potential cuts come as Meta continues to invest heavily in artificial intelligence technology and follows recent redundancy rounds in early 2026 and early 2025.",
