Jakarta (ANTARA) — Technology company Meta has launched its Muse
artificial intelligence app for iPad, a month after making the service
available on iPhone.

TechCrunch reported on Wednesday (7 October) that market intelligence
firm Sensor Tower estimates Muse has achieved more than 6.6 million
downloads since its release on iOS and Android on 8 September 2026.

Muse is one of a number of consumer AI apps that allow users to
connect their accounts so it can monitor emails, meetings, bills and
other matters, and help complete various tasks.

AI agents can, among other things, help users book restaurant tables,
order groceries, organise daily schedules and make purchases at their
direction.

Meta is continuing to add partners to Muse so its AI agent can carry
out a wider range of tasks. Users can choose which services to connect,
granting the agent access to perform specific activities.

Meta has added Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Walmart and Wayfair to its
list of partners. This allows the AI agent to shop on those retailers’
websites and complete transactions on users’ behalf.

However, using AI agents to shop on websites still presents
challenges. Some websites identify AI agents as bots and then block
their access.

To address the issue, Meta announced a partnership with several
industry players to develop an open standard that would allow AI agents
to be identified by web systems.

The standard is intended to help websites distinguish AI agents
legitimately used by customers from bots that could disrupt their
services.
",
