Merpati responds<\/p>\n
Allow me to respond in the following to a letter by Michael
\nBeer of Amlapura, Bali, complaining about Merpati's service.<\/p>\n
On behalf of the management of PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines I
\nam herewith extending the greatest apology to Michael Beer for
\nthe inconvenience that our service caused him during the MZ 606
\nand 615 flights covering the Denpasar-Maumere route.<\/p>\n
Owing to some technical problems related to flight operations,
\nthere were, on the days of the flights referred to, some
\nirregularities in Merpati flight services such as a change in the
\ntype of aircraft used and a flight delay. These irregularities
\noccurred during the peak season and were caused by technical
\ndisturbances experienced by some aircraft in our fleet. That is
\nwhy to address these irregularities and ensure that flight
\nservices as a whole would continue to run well, flight operations
\nwere adjusted, especially with respect to the fleet of aircraft
\nused.<\/p>\n
It is for this reason that F-20 replaced F-27 in MZ 606 and
\n615 flights. We decided to make this change because we
\nprioritized flight safety and customers' satisfaction as best we
\ncould in the existing circumstances.<\/p>\n
Further, we would also like to thank Michael Beer for his
\nattention and correction, which we regard as a very valuable
\ninput for Merpati to enable it to provide better services. It is
\nour sincere hope that despite this unfavorable condition,
\nMichael Beer will continue to fly in Merpati airplanes.<\/p>\n
