        "content": "<p>Merpati adds domestic flights<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): State-owned air carrier Merpati Nusantara<br>\nAirways announced on Tuesday it would operate flight services<br>\nfrom Java and Kalimantan, Kalimantan and Sulawesi and within<br>\nKalimantan itself.<\/p>\n<p>Merpati general manager for corporate affairs Imam Turidy said<br>\nthe routes would be opened to meet market demand and that<br>\noperations would begin on Nov. 1.<\/p>\n<p>He said Merpati would fly six times a week from Yogyakarta to<br>\nTarakan in East Kalimantan with a stopover in Surabaya in East<br>\nJava and Balikpapan in East Kalimantan and three times a week<br>\nfrom Surabaya to Pontianak in West Kalimantan via Semarang in<br>\nCentral Java and Pangkalan Bun in West Kalimantan.<\/p>\n<p>Merpati will fly three times a week from Balikpapan to Ujung<br>\nPandang in South Sulawesi and from Balikpapan to Banjarmasin.<br>\n(cst)<\/p>",
