Basalamah,<br>\nrecently said the company based its optimism on its booking a 10<br>\npercent increase in its occupancy rate to 44 percent in 1999<br>\ndespite the lingering economic crisis.<\/p>\n<p>She said the hotel's occupancy rate tumbled to 37 percent in<br>\nMay 1999 and 32 percent the following month during the general<br>\nelection campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Mercure Rekso is a property of French-based international<br>\nhotel chain Accor Pacific, which currently manages 27 hotels<br>\nacross the country.
