Ahead of the month of Ramadan, Menteng Pulo public cemetery has begun\nto fill with visitors. Grave visitation is a deeply rooted tradition\nobserved before entering the fasting month.<\/p>\n
Based on detikcom\u2019s observations at the location on Monday\n(16\/2\/2026) at 12.51 WIB, visitors were already filling Menteng Pulo\nCemetery in Tebet District, South Jakarta. They brought scattered\nflowers and water to pour over the graves.<\/p>\n
The visitors were seen praying for their deceased family members.\nAfter praying, some also captured the moment by taking photographs at\ntheir relatives\u2019 graves.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was busier yesterday on Sunday; today the paths are still fairly\nclear. Yesterday, the lanes along the edges of the cemetery were packed\nwith motorbikes,\u201d said a vendor at Menteng Pulo Cemetery.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut it\u2019s still quite a lot of people today, because it\u2019s tradition \u2014\nbefore fasting, many people come here to visit graves,\u201d the vendor\nadded.<\/p>\n
The Directorate General of Islamic Community Guidance (Bimas Islam)\nannounced that the Isbat Session to determine 1 Ramadan 1447 H will be\nheld tomorrow, Tuesday (17\/2), at the HM Rasjidi Auditorium, Ministry of\nReligious Affairs, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The session will be chaired directly by Minister of Religious Affairs\nNasaruddin Umar and will involve various strategic parties, including\nrepresentatives of Islamic social organisations, astronomy experts, and\nstate institutions.<\/p>\n
