Java board<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Megawati Soekarnoputri, the chairperson of the<br>\nIndonesian Democratic Party (PDI), announced the line up of the<br>\nparty's East Java regional board, to be led by Sucipto, on<br>\nMonday.<\/p>\n<p>Megawati also ordered the Latief Pudjosakti, who has formed<br>\nhis own board in defiance of Megawati, to make way for the new<br>\nboard appointed by Central Executive Board in Jakarta, the Antara<br>\nnews agency said.<\/p>\n<p>The East Java board regional election ended inconclusively<br>\nlast month, leading to the intervention by the central board.<\/p>\n<p>However Latief, the incumbent East Java PDI chief, rejected<br>\nthe intervention and decided to form his own board.<\/p>\n<p>Megawati insisted that the new board led by Sucipto reflected<br>\nthe aspirations of the PDI supporters in East Java.<\/p>\n<p>Sucipto has also announced his intention to give up his seat<br>\nin the House of Representatives in order to focus his attention<br>\nto the PDI's affairs in East Java.
