If Megawati wishes to become the leader of the country, she
\nhas to take stern measures to uphold justice. That is the only
\nway to win the support of the people. Megawati should be able to
\ntake a stand without having to take the side of any group in the

The enforcement of the supremacy of the law should be
\nprioritized and must never be put off. At the least, Megawati
\nmust show who she really is, or else the Indonesian people will
\nbelieve that she is a President who enjoys the people's support
\nbecause of the charisma of her father, Bung Karno.<\/p>\n
Megawati should demonstrate that she is able to lead not only
\nthe Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan), but
\nalso the nation.<\/p>\n
A true leader never calculates the losses and profits and is
\nnever afraid of losing his or her post. History records that both
\nBung Karno and Nehru were once good friends and had the same
\nvision and mission of advancing their nations so they could stand
\nequal with other nations in the world.<\/p>\n
Some economic and political experts say Megawati has lost
\npopularity because of doubts about her ability to lead Indonesia.
\nMegawati is seen as unsure and gives the impression of being
\nafraid of losing the presidency.<\/p>\n
Such impressions should be erased by a leader's attitude and
\ntheir willingness to take real action.<\/p>\n
