        "content": "<p>Megawati indecisive on second-term<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: President Megawati Soekarnoputri has failed to say<br>\ndirectly whether she will run for a second term next year.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking before some 150 Japanese journalists at the Japan<br>\nNational Press Club in Tokyo on Monday, the President, who is<br>\nalso the chairwoman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of<br>\nStruggle (PDI Perjuangan), only said that as chairwoman of the<br>\nruling party, she had been nominated by party members during the<br>\nparty's congress in the Central Java capital of Semarang last<br>\nyear.<\/p>\n<p>She vowed, however, that if she was reelected, her government<br>\nwould focus on eradicating corruption.<\/p>\n<p>Megawati claimed she did not have enough time to combat<br>\ncorruption during her current presidency as she had only three<br>\nyears from the time she assumed power.<\/p>\n<p>\"We need more time.
