Mega, envoys discuss Aceh reconstruction<\/p>\n

Boyce, Limura, Italian Ambassador Francesco Maria Greco as the
\nEuropean Union Representative, and World Bank country director
\nAndrew Steer are planning to visit the war-torn province of Aceh
\non Monday to determine effective measures to rebuild the
\nprovince. Coordinating Minister for Political and Security
\nAffairs Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is expected to accompany them.<\/p>\n
"We would like to have a talk with the local government,
\nrepresentatives of civil society and the business sector about
\nwhat we can do in order to help reconstruction and rehabilitation
\nin Aceh," Ambassador Limura said after the meeting.<\/p>\n
The planned visit is part of follow-up efforts to turn the
\nDec. 3 Tokyo meeting on post-war reconstruction in Aceh into
\nconcrete actions.<\/p>\n
"We have several teams to survey the needs in the field and
\nnow we will start to discuss concrete plans of what we can do,"
\nLimura remarked.<\/p>\n
Over 20 countries and international organizations held a
\nmeeting in Tokyo on Dec. 3 to set up a trust fund for post-war
\nreconstruction in the province.<\/p>\n
Limura said that there would be several sessions regarding the
\nfund for Aceh in the coming talks with the Consultative Group on
\nIndonesia (CGI) on Jan. 21 in Bali.<\/p>\n
"As soon as we come back to Jakarta, we'll be having some
\nsessions on Aceh during the CGI meeting," the ambassador said.<\/p>",
