President Prabowo Subianto utilised the presentation of credentials\nby eight ambassadors from friendly nations to reaffirm Indonesia\u2019s\nposition amidst global geopolitical dynamics. During a closed-door\nmeeting with the diplomats, Prabowo emphasised the importance of\nresolving conflicts through peaceful channels and rejected military\napproaches as a solution to international issues.<\/p>\n
The Head of State delivered this message while receiving the\ncredentials of eight ambassadors newly assigned to Indonesia. The\nceremony took as held at the Presidential Palace and was attended by\nDeputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Anis Matta stated that the\nambassadors representing various regions of the world include\nrepresentatives from the Philippines, Sri Lanka, the Czech Republic,\nGreece, Palestine, Lebanon, South Korea, and Saint Lucia. According to\nAnis, during the meeting, Prabowo did not discuss specific conflicts,\nsuch as the situation in the Middle East, but instead explained the\nfundamental principles of Indonesia\u2019s foreign policy, which remains\ncommitted to a \u2018free and active\u2019 stance.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe President explained to the ambassadors Indonesia\u2019s principle in\ninternational diplomacy, that we are free and active. We do not have\nmilitary alliances with any country,\u201d Anis told journalists at the\nPresidential Palace.<\/p>\n
In an increasingly interconnected world, Prabowo believes that\npeaceful resolution is a primary necessity for maintaining global\nstability. Consequently, Indonesia encourages cooperation and dialogue\nas the way to resolve various conflicts. \u201cAny form of military force\nused in resolving any conflict will not lead to a good outcome.\nTherefore, what we encourage is building a spirit of peace and\ncooperation with all parties,\u201d Anis quoted from the President\u2019s\nmessage.<\/p>\n
The presentation of credentials also addressed questions regarding\nthe delay in receiving several ambassadors who had arrived in Indonesia\nsome time ago. Anis noted that Prabowo personally apologised to the\ndiplomats for the postponed agenda, clarifying that the delay was solely\ndue to his extremely busy schedule since his inauguration and his\nintense focus on managing global situations requiring full\nconcentration.<\/p>\n
Anis confirmed that the ambassadors understood the situation and\nresponded positively.
