Medical services for Idul Fitri<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The City Health Agency is to deploy 59
\nambulances and 500 medical personnel, including 60 doctors, at
\npoints in the city likely to be crowded during the Idul Fitri
\nholiday.<\/p>\n
The head of the agency, Aslan Lasman, said yesterday that
\nambulances and personnel would be stationed at bus terminals,
\nrailway stations, entertainment spots and on toll roads.<\/p>\n
The medics, who would work in shifts around the clock, were
\nneeded to offer first aid to people involved in minor accidents
\nwhen queuing to get tickets or crushed in large crowds, he said.<\/p>\n
Aslan said the deployment of the medical personnel would be
\nconducted in cooperation with other institutions, including the
\nIndonesian Red Cross, state-owned toll road company PT Jasa
\nMarga, state-owned insurance company PT Jasa Raharja and health
\noffices in the five mayoralties.<\/p>\n
Aslan said that at entertainment spots, like Taman Mini
\nIndonesia Indah in East Jakarta and Ancol Dreamland in North
\nJakarta, the medical personnel would be on duty only on the
\npublic holidays, Jan. 30 and Jan. 31.<\/p>\n
The teams at bus terminals, railway stations and toll roads
\nwill be on duty seven days before and seven days after Idul
