        "content": "<p>The Median Survey Institute has released findings on respondent\nperceptions across social media regarding presidential and\nvice-presidential electability. According to the results, the\npresidential candidate most frequently chosen by social media\nrespondents was Prabowo Subianto, whilst Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi\nSadewa emerged in the vice-presidential electability rankings.<\/p>\n<p>The survey was conducted between 10 and 14 February 2026, with a\ntotal of 1,200 respondents spread across all provinces. The methodology\nemployed a Google Form-based questionnaire distributed to respondents on\nsocial media platforms, targeting active social media users aged 17 to\nover 60.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers subsequently called back respondents who completed the\nGoogle Form to verify the accuracy of their responses. Demographically,\nthe proportion of male and female respondents was 50.6% and 49.4%\nrespectively. The largest share of respondents was located on Java,\ncomprising 40.2%.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe formulated questions within a Google Form, then distributed and\nblasted them to provinces across the country. After receiving responses,\nwe contacted those who provided answers to verify accuracy,\u201d said Median\nSurvey Institute Research Director Ade Irfan Abdurahman whilst\npresenting the research methodology on Monday (23\/2\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The survey included findings on presidential and vice-presidential\nelectability. Respondents were asked: \u201cIf a presidential election were\nheld today, which figure would you choose to become President of the\nRepublic of Indonesia?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>First place went to Prabowo Subianto, the current President for the\n2024-2029 term. Second place was held by Anies Baswedan, followed by\nDedi Mulyadi. The top ten presidential electability rankings are as\nfollows:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Prabowo Subianto: 29%<\/li>\n<li>Anies Baswedan: 20.6%<\/li>\n<li>Dedi Mulyadi: 17.0%<\/li>\n<li>Ganjar Pranowo: 5.2%<\/li>\n<li>Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono: 4.2%<\/li>\n<li>Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa: 4%<\/li>\n<li>Gibran Rakabuming Raka: 2.6%<\/li>\n<li>Mahfud Md: 1.2%<\/li>\n<li>Pramono Anung: 1.0%<\/li>\n<li>Ahok: 1.0%<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Median Survey Institute Executive Research Director Rico Marbun said\nPrabowo currently remains in the lead amid the issue of Indonesia\njoining the Board of Peace established by United States President Donald\nTrump. Prabowo\u2019s electability is the highest in the presidential\ncandidate category, whilst Gibran Rakabuming Raka also holds the highest\nelectability in the vice-presidential findings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmid these international issues, Prabowo Subianto continues to lead\nin presidential electability (29%), followed by Anies Baswedan (20.6%)\nand Dedi Mulyadi (17%),\u201d Rico said.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at presidential electability trends, Prabowo experienced an\nincrease from January 2026. That month, Prabowo\u2019s electability stood at\n27.8%, followed by Anies Baswedan at 19.9% and Dedi Mulyadi at 17.4%.\nAll three saw their electability rise in February 2026, with Prabowo\nrecording a notably significant increase from 27.8% to 29.0%.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in the vice-presidential electability findings, Gibran\nRakabuming Raka occupied first place.
