Java<\/p>\n<p>SEMARANG, Central Java: Eleven children have died of measles<br>\nand hundreds more are suffering from the contagious disease in<br>\nnine regencies across the province, Central Java health chief<br>\nSudibyo Juwono said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The regencies are Kendal, Wonogiri, Magelang, Tegal,<br>\nTemanggung, Banyumas, Purbalingga and Pekalongan.<\/p>\n<p>\"It started in April and may reach its peak in August, which<br>\nis when seasons change,\" Sudibyo said, adding it also was the<br>\ntime when children's immunity was likely to decline, especially<br>\nfor undernourished kids.<\/p>\n<p>Symptoms include high fever, cough, cold and a red rash on the<br>\nskin.
