        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Ongen Sangaji, a member of Commission A of the DKI\nJakarta DPRD from the NasDem faction, has asked the five administrative\nmayors of Jakarta to find solutions so that no more reckless JakLingko\ndrivers are found, by holding coordination meetings with the relevant\nparties.<\/p>\n<p>He said reckless JakLingko drivers can cause public distress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has become a complaint and it is alarming, frightening and\nworrying for JakLingko users. Lately, drivers have been discourteous on\nthe road,\u201d Ongen said during a working meeting with the five mayors and\nthe regent of the Thousand Islands in Jakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Ongen highlighted the behaviour of a number of JakLingko drivers\ndeemed reckless when driving on public roads, with the potential to\nendanger JakLingko users, other motorists and road users.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, public complaints about the behaviour of JakLingko\ndrivers have been found in almost all parts of Jakarta. This situation\nis considered to have made public transport users feel uneasy, afraid\nand uncomfortable.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, Ongen asked the five mayors, along with the Transportation\nSub-departments in the five Jakarta regions, the 44 district heads and\nthe Transportation Offices at district level, to carry out supervision\nand take action against reckless JakLingko drivers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo that with the meeting of the relevant parties, they can agree on\na joint decision to take firm action against reckless JakLingko\ndrivers,\u201d said Ongen.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, he questioned why there are still JakLingko drivers who\ndrive at excessive speeds, especially since the JakLingko service\nreceives support and incentives from the regional government through the\nRegional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that JakLingko drivers should not be chasing passenger\ntargets by driving aggressively, thereby endangering the safety of road\nusers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no reason for them to chase targets or whatever. They\nreceive incentives from the APBD,\u201d Ongen asserted.<\/p>\n<p>He said the issue must also be a serious concern for the relevant\nregionally owned enterprises (BUMD) and PT Transportasi Jakarta\n(TransJakarta) as parties involved in providing the public transport\nservice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere must not be certain targets that force them to race around and\nmake the drivers reckless. That is why the JakLingko drivers must be\nstrictly supervised,\u201d said Ongen.<\/p>",
