Flood\nmanagement and coastal issues are among the main focuses of this\ncollaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (Brida) of\nMataram, I Nyoman Suwandiasa, revealed that this partnership exploration\nis an effort to strengthen the position of the provincial capital to be\ncompetitive and become \u2018Global Mataram\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(The collaboration opportunity with them) is very significant. They\noffered aspects related to disaster mitigation, urban settlements,\nwaste, and coastal area planning. They have successful experience in New\nOrleans, and our conditions are very similar to the City of New\nOrleans,\u201d said Suwandiasa on Tuesday (28\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>According to Suwandiasa, the collaboration opportunity between the\nMataram City Government and the University of New Orleans is quite\npotential to occur this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy not, this is the initial exploration.
