Masturbation and marriage<\/p>\n
Doctor Sri Utami of Purwodadi, Central Java, has stirred me up
\nwith her health article A secret shared: Masturbation in marriage
\npublished in The Jakarta Post on June 27, 1999.<\/p>\n
In my opinion, apart from religious norms and teaching,
\nmasturbation among men and women, including teenagers, besides
\nbeing closely related to sex fantasies, seems to indicate
\nnormality. Such is described by Joe Weider and Kevin Cobb in
\ntheir book: Men's fitness magazine's complete guide to health and
\nwell being. They said further, that sex fantasies are incredibly
\ncommon for most men. They also said in one study discussed in the
\nKinsey Institute New Report on Sex, men were asked how frequently
\nthey thought about sex.<\/p>\n
The average teenager, to no one's surprise, reported having a
\nsexual thought every five minutes; the average 40-something guy
\nadmitted to having one every half an hour.<\/p>\n
Hence, when Dr. Sri Utami said that a wife was shocked when
\none night she walked in to find her husband masturbating while
\nwatching TV, should not have been too surprising.<\/p>\n
