        "content": "<p>Mass wedding, planned next week<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): A mass wedding and mass circumcision will<br>\nhighlight the Islamic Culture Display scheduled to take place at<br>\nthe Istiqlal Mosque in Central Jakarta from Dec. 19 to 22.<\/p>\n<p>At least 80 couples from poor families will join the mass<br>\nwedding in the three-day event which will be opened by Mrs. Tuti<br>\nTry Sutrisno, the wife of the vice president.<\/p>\n<p>Antara reported yesterday that children from several orphan<br>\nhomes would join the mass circumcision. The University of<br>\nAs'Syafiiyah and the Islamic Hospital Jakarta will carry out the<br>\nmass circumcision.<\/p>\n<p>As many as 500 copies of the holy Koran will be distributed to<br>\nsmall mosques during the events. The occasion is the anniversary<br>\nof Badan Kontak Majlis Taklim, an Islamic women's organization.<\/p>\n<p>The activities will also mark National Social Solidarity Day<br>\non Dec. 22.
