He stated that the commencement of this strategic project\nmarks an important milestone in strengthening national energy security\nwhile demonstrating the government\u2019s commitment to accelerating the\nupstream oil and gas sector.<\/p>\n<p>According to Beniyanto, the Masela Block is a strategic oil and gas\nproject that has been anticipated for almost three decades. With the\nstart of construction, Indonesia is sending a positive signal to the\nworld that the government has a strong commitment to providing\ninvestment certainty while increasing national energy production.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate the steps taken by President Prabowo and Minister of\nEnergy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, who have successfully\npushed for the start of the Masela Block construction. Amid rising national energy demand,\naccelerating upstream oil and gas projects is an essential part of\nsafeguarding Indonesia\u2019s future energy security.<\/p>\n<p>Beniyanto added that the government\u2019s success in initiating the\nMasela Block construction also highlights the importance of consistency\nin completing national strategic projects that have faced various\nchallenges.
