        "content": "<p>MAS, KLM to expand codesharing pact<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (AFX-ASIA): Malaysian Airline System Bhd and KLM<br>\nRoyal Dutch Airlines will be expanding their existing codesharing<br>\nagreement with the new arrangement to take effect from the start<br>\nof the winter schedule commencing Oct 29, 2000, a Malaysia<br>\nAirlines statement said.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Malaysia Airlines operates a daily Kuala Lumpur-<br>\nAmsterdam service while KLM operates four times weekly on the<br>\nAmsterdam-Kuala Lumpur-Manila route.<\/p>\n<p>With the expanded agreement, KLM will add three additional<br>\nroundtrip flights between Schiphol Airport and KL International<br>\nAirport.<\/p>\n<p>With the additional flights, Malaysia Airlines and KLM will<br>\njointly provide a twice-daily service on the Kuala Lumpur-<br>\nAmsterdam route.<\/p>\n<p>Both airlines have also agreed to cooperate in air services<br>\nbeyond the two hubs.<\/p>\n<p>Malaysia Airlines will codeshare on KLM flights between<br>\nAmsterdam and Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, while KLM will<br>\ncodeshare on Malaysia Airlines flights between Kuala Lumpur and<br>\nselected Australian and New Zealand cities.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Malaysia Airlines said its cargo handling unit<br>\nMASKargo will begin operations from Sharjah International Airport<br>\nin the United Arab Emirates effective Oct 28, 2000.<\/p>",
