        "content": "<p>Marubeni wins RI order<\/p>\n<p>TOKYO (AFP): Major Japanese trading house Marubeni Corp. and<br>\nthe French telecommunication equipment giant Alcatel-Alsthom have<br>\nwon a two billion yen (US$20 million) contract to supply a radio-<br>\nbased telecom system in Sumatra, Indonesia, the Nihon Keizai<br>\nnewspaper reported yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The contract has been awarded by PT Telecomunikasi Indonesia<br>\n(Telkom). Construction of the 1,500 kilometer digital radio-<br>\ncommunication network is to begin by the end of this year and<br>\ncompletion is expected in two years, the newspaper added.<\/p>\n<p>Alcatel-Alsthom will supply machinery for the project while<br>\nthe Japanese trading house will be responsible for supplying<br>\nelectric power facilities and steel towers.<\/p>",
