        "content": "<p>Marsinah's death remembered<\/p>\n<p>SURABAYA: About 100 activists from the Workers-People Society<br>\nmovement staged a drama in front of Brawijaya Military Command on<br>\nMonday in commemoration of the murder of labor activist Marsinah.<\/p>\n<p>The group demanded a thorough investigation into the murder,<br>\nwhich it is alleged involved several military members.<\/p>\n<p>\"We want the case to be solved once and for all. We want an<br>\nexplanation,\" said Yudho, an activist.<\/p>\n<p>Marsinah, who was murdered in May 1993, was a worker at watch<br>\nfactory PT Catur Putra Surya in Porong, East Java.<\/p>\n<p>She was found dead in the Nganjuk area, allegedly killed for<br>\norganizing rallies to demand better salaries.<\/p>\n<p>The group met with Lt. Col. Nana Rohana of Brawijaya Military<br>\nCommand, who promised to channel their demands.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, laborers from several companies held prayers in<br>\nWilangan forest in Nganjuk where Marsinah's battered remains were<br>\nlocated.
