Marlev and Rony in Swiss Open quarters<\/p>\n

Indonesia has two shuttlers still in the men's singles of the
\nthree-star Swiss Open, with Marlev Mainaky and Rony Agustinus
\nmaking their way to the quarterfinals on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n
Seeded first in the event, Marlev did not find it too
\ndifficult to quell Colin Haughton of England with a 7-3, 7-5, 7-2
\nvictory at Basel's St. Jakobshalle.<\/p>\n
Marlev is slated to have his quarterfinal match against Anders
\nBoesen of Denmark later on Friday evening. Boesen also cruised
\neasily to a win of 7-3, 7-5, 7-5 against German Bjorn Joppin.<\/p>\n
In the lower leg, Rony made a major upset after defeating
\nsecond seed Lee Hyun-il of South Korea in another easy match
\nending 7-4, 7-2, 7-1.<\/p>\n
Rony's opponent in the quarterfinals will be Oedum Kasper of
\nDenmark who beat Malaysian Nathan Ramesh 7-3, 7-1, 2-7, 7-5.<\/p>\n
The other quarterfinal match will pit Ng Wei of Hong Kong
\nagainst Dicky Palyama of the Netherlands. Malaysia secured a
\nsemifinals berth when Ayob Sairul Amar met James Chua.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile in the men's doubles, Indonesia only managed to
\nproduce one quarterfinalist from three pairs participating in the
\nevent.<\/p>\n
Bambang Suprianto and Sigit Budiarto defeated Simon Archer and
\nGraham Durrel 7-5, 7-4, 3-7, 7-1 to face second seeds Michal
\nLogosz and Robert Mateusiak from Poland who earlier beat South
\nMalaysian pair Jeremy Gan and Ng Kean Kok with a 7-0, 7-1, 5-7,
\n7-3.<\/p>\n
Indonesian head coach Christian Hadinata decided to remix two
\nof his three men's doubles pairs for the Swiss Open.<\/p>\n
Sigit usually teams up with Candra Wijaya, while Bambang often
\npartners with Tri Kusheryanto. Candra and Tri were not able to
\nplay their match against Mathias Boe and Peter Steffensen of
\nDenmark.<\/p>\n
The third pair, Halim Heryanto and Nova Widhianto fell victim
\nto Danish the duo of Michael Soogard and Michael Lamp after
\ngiving their best but losing at 7-5, 4-7, 7-4, 2-7, 7-1.<\/p>",
