Market kiosks sold out<\/p>\n
TANGERANG (JP): The regency plans to build kiosks in a market
\nwhich is prioritized for sidewalk vendors.<\/p>\n
The chief of the market management authority, Bunyamin,
\nsaid each kiosk will be sold for Rp 6 million and can be paid for
\nin installments.<\/p>\n
The market is in the Sepatan subdistrict, Pasar Kemis.<\/p>\n
"The buyers are required to pay a down payment, which is 20
\npercent of the price of the kiosk. The remainder can be paid in
\ninstallments for two to three years," he explained.<\/p>\n
However, most of the buyers are not street vendors operating
\naround Pasar Kemis district.<\/p>\n
The right to buy the kiosks was done by lottery.<\/p>\n
One vendor, Agus, said he was told by Bunyamin not to take
\npart in the draw and assured him he would still get a kiosk.<\/p>\n
In the third week of April, Agus returned to Bunyamin's house
\nand asked him to provide him with a kiosk. But to Agus'
\ndisappointment, Bunyamin replied: "No more kiosks are available
\nbecause all of them have been sold."<\/p>\n
Agus told The Jakarta Post yesterday that Bunyamin had lied to
