        "content": "<p>Marijuana grower shot and killed<\/p>\n<p>BANDA ACEH, Aceh: The police shot dead a marijuana grower for<br>\nresisting arrest when they raided his farm on Sunday, Antara<br>\nreported yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Southeast Aceh military commander Lt. Col. Tara said that the<br>\nman attempted to attack the arresting personnel with a knife on<br>\nrealizing that he could not escape.<\/p>\n<p>Tara identified the man as Ibrahim, who was resting with two<br>\naccomplices -- now at large -- in his hut when police raided his<br>\nready-to-harvest crop at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The one-hectare farm is located in the jungle-clad Terangon<br>\ndistrict where marijuana, wild or cultured, is commonplace.<br>\nRecently, a police officer was seriously injured in a similar<br>\noperation in the same area.<\/p>\n<p>\"To reach the farm, we had to walk for between 12 and 15 hours<br>\nthrough trails and dangerous terrain,\" Tara said.<\/p>\n<p>He said police officers and soldiers have to be especially<br>\ncareful of booby traps planted on trails by marijuana growers.<br>\n(pan)<\/p>",
