        "content": "<p>March 9 declared National Music day<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: President Megawati Soekarnoputri declared March 9<br>\nNational Music Day during a simple ceremony at the State Palace<br>\non Monday.<\/p>\n<p>During the ceremony, attended by dozens of singers,<br>\nsongwriters and musicians from different music genres, Megawati<br>\nreminded them of the importance of registering their compositions<br>\nwith the relevant institutions to protect their intellectual<br>\nproperty rights.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Sometimes, songwriters just create song after song, but<br>\nforget to register their composition. When somebody else claims<br>\nownership over their work, they cannot do anything,&quot; the<br>\nPresident said.<\/p>\n<p>Megawati was asked to sing a song in front of the participants<br>\nby respected and senior actresses Titik Puspa and Vina<br>\nPanduwinata.<\/p>\n<p>The President sang an old song titled &quot;Di Wajahmu Kulihat<br>\nBulan&quot; (I Saw the Moon in Your Face), written by Mochtar Embut.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It is prohibited by presidential protocol for me to sing in<br>\npublic,&quot; Megawati said before singing the song.-- JP<\/p>",
