Jakarta (ANTARA) - Musician Marcell Siahaan has released his second\nreligious single entitled \u2018Menuju Cahaya\u2019, which depicts the inner\njourney of humans letting go of ego and learning to be humble.<\/p>\n
The song describes the moment when humans stop feeling like the\ncentre of everything and begin to move towards something greater than\nthemselves.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe purification of the self is a process that should be celebrated\nby anyone, anywhere and at any time,\u201d said Marcell in a press release on\nThursday.<\/p>\n
He also shared that the concept of Tazkiyatun Nafs is the main\ninspiration for his latest work.<\/p>\n
The concept, which describes the purification of the soul, is in line\nwith the message in the Quran in Surah Asy-Syams (91) verses 9-10 and\nSurah Al-A\u2019la (87) verse 14, which both state that true success does not\ncome from external recognition, but from the courage to cleanse the\ninner self.<\/p>\n
The meaning of \u201cLight\u201d in this song is not interpreted as a symbol of\npersonal success or instant enlightenment, but rather explains the goal,\nas something to be approached, not owned.<\/p>\n
The interpretation is inspired by the depiction of Divine Light in\nSurah An-Nur verse 35, so that the lyrics do not highlight the ego, but\nemphasize the process of taking a journey.<\/p>\n
From a musical point of view, the singer of \u201cTakkan Terganti\u201d took a\nminimalist and repetitive approach.<\/p>\n
Electronic nuances were deliberately added by Marcell to give a new\ntouch to his work, but he promised that it would not eliminate his\nmusical characteristics.<\/p>\n
