        "content": "<p>Many workers are anemic<\/p>\n<p>SAMARINDA, East Kalimantan: About 65 percent of 211,961<br>\nworkers here are anemic, a study conducted by the local office of<br>\nthe Ministry of Health revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Antara quoted the office's spokesman Asli Amin as saying<br>\nyesterday that the condition was caused by poor nutrition and<br>\npoor eating habits. \"Most of the workers don't understand the<br>\nimportance of iron for their health,\" Asli said.<\/p>\n<p>The provincial administration plans to correct the situation<br>\nby distributing a total of 32 million free iron tablets for the<br>\nworkers, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Each worker will take a tablet per week for 16 weeks. Pregnant<br>\nworkers, however, will be required to take one tablet every day<br>\nfor 16 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\"Hopefully, their health and productivity will then improve,\"<br>\nAsli said. (swe)<\/p>",
