Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Manework (Kemnaker) has noted that\nalumni of the National Internship programme (MagangHub) are most\nfrequently receiving job offers or being absorbed into the financial\nsector.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe can see participants receiving job offers based on sector. We see\nfinance, wholesale trade, manufacturing, health, and accommodation. The\nlargest is the finance sector,\u201d said Deputy Minister of Manpower\nAfriansky Noor during a working meeting with Commission IX of the\nIndonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) at the Parliament Complex\nin Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday.<\/p>\n
According to Ministry data, the financial sector absorbed 23.4 per\ncent of the alumni from the 2025 National Internship programme.\nMeanwhile, the second position was held by the wholesale trade sector at\n17.9 per cent, followed by the manufacturing sector, which absorbed 16.5\nper cent of the alumni.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the health and accommodation sectors ranked fourth and\nfifth, with percentages of 10.3 per cent and 5.2 per cent,\nrespectively.<\/p>\n
Overall, 30 per cent of National Internship alumni have already been\noffered positions by the companies where they gained six months of work\nexperience. \u201cFrom our survey data, the interns we prepare\u2014on average, 30\nper cent of them are accepted by the companies where they worked after\ntheir internship,\u201d said Deputy Minister Afriansyah.<\/p>\n
Additionally, 34 per cent of the first batch of alumni have not yet\nbeen offered positions by companies, though there are indications of\npotential recruitment. The remaining 36 per cent were not offered jobs\nafter the programme concluded.<\/p>\n
For the implementation of the 2026 National Internship, or the second\nbatch, Afriansyah stated that the Ministry of Manpower targets 150,000\nparticipants, divided into three periods (batches).<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the Ministry will focus on ensuring a more even\ndistribution of regions and internship fields, expanding targets for\nmore inclusive participation, providing certification for all National\nInternship participants, and conducting better and more comprehensive\nmonitoring and evaluation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe improvement in monitoring and evaluation that we are undertaking\ninvolves monitoring from the beginning to the end, evaluating the\nquality of implementation and mentors, and tracking post-programme\nresults,\u201d said Deputy Minister Afriansyah.<\/p>\n
