\u201cThe key is for business owners to maintain continuous communication,\nmaintain product quality, and ensure that customers\u2019 needs continue to\nbe met,\u201d the minister said in a statement issued in Jakarta on\nFriday.<\/p>\n
He said one of the keys to success in entrepreneurship was not merely\nacquiring customers but also maintaining relationships with them so they\nremain loyal and continue using the products or services offered.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf we have managed our existing customers well, at the very least we\ncan retain them while focusing on acquiring new customers. That is how a\nbusiness can continue to grow,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to Yassierli, the ability to retain customers becomes\nincreasingly important as a business grows.<\/p>\n
Therefore, he said, business owners need to maintain communication,\nconsistent quality, and customer trust over the long term.<\/p>\n
Yassierli cited healthcare services as an example, where providers\ncontact patients after treatment to ask about their progress and ensure\nthat they continue following the recommended treatment.<\/p>\n
He said such communication was part of customer relationship\nmanagement (CRM), which business owners could adopt to retain\ncustomers.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the government, through the Ministry of Manpower\n(Kemnaker), this year provided assistance to 1,000 established\nself-employed workers, each receiving Rp15 million in business\ndevelopment capital. In addition, 8,731 new self-employed workers\nreceived Rp5 million each.<\/p>\n
Yassierli said the Rp15 million in assistance might appear\nsubstantial to some people, while others might consider it limited\ncapital.<\/p>\n
Therefore, he said, what mattered more was how the assistance was\nmanaged and developed optimally to support business growth.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur experience at the Ministry of Manpower shows that this program\nhas been running for six years and has produced many successful new\nentrepreneurs,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In addition to capital assistance, Yassierli said participants in the\nself-employment program would receive training to strengthen their\nbusiness capabilities, including business idea development, product\npackaging, online marketing, and maintaining product quality.<\/p>\n
He hoped the training would not stop at providing knowledge but would\nbe applied consistently in running their businesses.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no success without serious effort and perseverance. We\nnever know when we will succeed, but if we persevere, we are confident\nthat we can achieve success,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
