        "content": "<p>Manila releases Indonesian plane<\/p>\n<p>MANILA (Reuter): Philippine aviation authorities yesterday<br>\nreleased an Indonesian plane carrying 25,000 kilograms of<br>\nexplosives after briefly impounding it for landing in Manila<br>\nwithout official clearance.<\/p>\n<p>The Boeing 707 plane of the Indonesian Merpati Airlines<br>\ncreated a stir on Friday night when it arrived at the Manila<br>\nairport without a permit from the Air Transportation Office<br>\n(ATO), officials said.<\/p>\n<p>It finally took off for Jakarta yesterday after its local<br>\nagents secured landing and takeoff permits from the authorities,<br>\nATO operations officer Capt. Efren Caldoza said. The cargo was<br>\nunloaded.<\/p>\n<p>\"It was just a case of miscommunication,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>The explosives, manufactured in Australia, were being imported<br>\nby a Philippine government firm for its munitions factory,<br>\ncustoms officials said.<\/p>",
