        "content": "<p>The Jakarta Phase 1B Light Rail Transit (LRT) (Manggarai-Velodrome)\nhas begun limited operations today as part of a trial period lasting\nuntil 16 September 2026. This initial phase is reserved for invitees,\ncommunity representatives, institutions, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and\njournalists.<\/p>\n<p>Following this, the LRT will operate from 17 September to 2 October\nfor seven hours daily, between 09:00 and 16:00 WIB, for the general\npublic and communities who have pre-registered.<\/p>\n<p>Paulus Budi Kartiko, Director of Operations II at Waskita Karya,\nstated in an official briefing in Jakarta on Thursday that a general\ntrial period will be implemented from 12 October to 30 November 2026.\nDuring this period, the service will operate for 17 hours, from 05:30 to\n00:20 WIB.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring this period, all stations will be active, passenger numbers\nwill not be limited, and no registration will be required. We are\ngrateful that the public will soon be able to experience the Jakarta\nPhase 1B LRT facilities firsthand,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Paulus noted that all construction stages of the Rp4.1 trillion\nproject have been completed. For this project, owned by PT Jakarta\nPropertindo (Perseroda), the company has constructed a 6.4-kilometre\ntrack equipped with five stations, covering Rawamangun, Pramuka,\nMatraman, Proklamasi, and Manggarai.<\/p>\n<p>All Jakarta LRT stations are designed to be integrated with other\nforms of public transport. Notably, Manggarai Station will be directly\nintegrated with the KRL Commuter Line, Transjakarta bus services, and\nthe airport train service to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed hope that this step would enhance the modernisation of\nthe transportation system in Indonesia, particularly in Jakarta as a\ncentre for economic activity, government, and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that the presence of the LRT will not only support urban\nconnectivity but also have a positive impact on the environment by\nreducing carbon emissions, thereby supporting the government\u2019s Net Zero\nEmission (NZE) targets,\u201d added Paulus.<\/p>",
