        "content": "<p>Man tried for 'ganja' possession<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): A prosecutor has asked Central Jakarta District<br>\nCourt to sentence a man to five years in jail for possessing<br>\nthree kilograms of ganja (marijuana).<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Fatriza Muchtar said Thursday the defendant, Asep<br>\nSapaat Zaenudin, 30, was arrested on Nov. 30, last year on Jl.<br>\nKramat Pulo in Senen about 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\"The defendant was arrested when he tried to return the<br>\nmarijuana to the owner, identified as Nurdin.\"<\/p>\n<p>Fatriza said Nurdin went to the defendant's house two hours<br>\nprior to the arrest, asking Asep to look after the marijuana and<br>\nmeet him later on the street.<\/p>\n<p>Asep was arrested but Nurdin, who had been tailed by police<br>\nofficers, managed to escape, she said.<\/p>\n<p>Asep allegedly violated Article 78 (1) of Law 22\/1997 on<br>\nnarcotics.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding judge Paimin Martoredjo adjourned the trial until<br>\nnext week to hear the defendant's plea.
