Man mobbed over suspicion<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A resident of Kemanggis in the Palmerah
\nsubdistrict, West Jakarta, with the help of 20 accomplices,
\nmobbed a neighbor to death as they thought he had tried to
\ndeceive them on Thursday night, a police officer said on Friday.<\/p>\n
Palmerah Police subprecinct detective chief First. Insp. Tri
\nHermanto said the 24-year-old victim, Abdul Manaf, had been
\nseverely beaten after failing to deliver the motorcycle that his
\nneighbor Rusli had paid for.<\/p>\n
\"After Rusli paid Abdul Manaf Rp 4 million for the motorcycle
\non Thursday afternoon, they then went to the residence of Abdul's
\nfriend in Jatinegara (in East Jakarta) to pick up the
\nmotorcycle,\" Tri told reporters.<\/p>\n
\"However, the motorcycle was not there when they arrived at
\nthe house.\"<\/p>\n
Abdul then took Rusli to a house in Tanjung Duren, West
\nJakarta, saying that the motorcycle was there.<\/p>\n
Again, Abdul failed to show the motorcycle to Rusli.<\/p>\n
Suspecting that Abdul had been trying to trick him, Rusli then
\nbrought 20 of his friends to Abdul's house in the evening and
\nmobbed him.<\/p>\n
Abdul died on Friday morning at the Kramatjati Police Hospital
\nin East Jakarta after suffering from serious injuries which were
\ninflicted to his entire body, especially to the head.<\/p>\n
Police have been questioning Rusli and the other 20 men in
\nrelation to Abdul's death, Tri said. (jaw)<\/p>",
