Man killed over inheritance<\/p>\n
TANGERANG (JP): A man allegedly killed his elder brother with
\na bamboo stick after a heated dispute over an inheritance on
\nThursday, a relative said.<\/p>\n
The relative, Suhendra, said at Tangerang General Hospital
\nthat 29-year-old Holid, the suspect, and his 34-year-old brother,
\nEdy Rohendra, had often been involved in heated arguments.<\/p>\n
But their parents' estate had worsened their relationship
\nrecently, he added.<\/p>\n
Holid, he explained, was jealous that their mother Rohmani had
\nentrusted the land certificates and car ownership documents to
\nEdy because he was the eldest son. Holid had asked Rohmani to
\nkeep the documents herself but Edy insisted on keeping them.<\/p>\n
\"That morning, they were talking, but suddenly they started to
\nsay harsh words. Holid then slapped Edy and Edy did the same to
\nHolid,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Upset, Holid then grabbed a bamboo stick and reportedly used
\nit to hit and stab Edy.<\/p>\n
Ciledug Police First Insp. Sujito said his men were
\ninvestigating the case. Holid has surrendered to the police.
