Man jumps to death from tower<\/p>\n
JAMBI, Jambi: People in the provincial capital of Jambi were
\nshocked on Friday by a suicide jump allegedly carried out by an
\nidentified man from a tower belonging to state telecommunications
\ncompany Telkom in the downtown area.<\/p>\n
Jambi Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Allorante said the body of
\nthe man was found by a Telkom security guard at around 8 a.m.<\/p>\n
The tower is 80 meters tall, and based on the severity of the
\ninjuries sustained by the man Allorante speculated the
\nunidentified person must have collided with the steel framework
\nof the tower before crashing to the ground.<\/p>\n
Further evidence of the suicide jump was given by the fact
\nthat a number of bolts were missing and a crossbar had fallen.<\/p>\n
Allorante said police were investigating the reason behind the
\nsuicide, which, according to him, may have taken place between 4
\na.m. and 6 a.m.<\/p>\n
The body was taken to Raden Mattahir general hospital for an
