Aris Munandar (34) nearly lost his life after being struck with a 3\nkilogramme liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by Jaenudin in\nPringwulan Village, Bandung District, Serang Regency, Banten. The victim\nwas beaten until he was covered in blood whilst attempting to collect\npayment for the LPG gas purchased by the assailant.<\/p>\n
Pamarayan Police Precinct Chief AKP Yusuf Ependi explained that the\nserious assault occurred on Wednesday (25 February) at approximately\n16:40 WIB at the assailant\u2019s residence in Pakusaji Village.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe victim had come to deliver 20 LPG gas cylinders ordered by the\nassailant to his home,\u201d said AKP Yusuf Ependi on Thursday (12 March\n2026).<\/p>\n
However, after the gas cylinders were delivered, the assailant did\nnot immediately pay for the order, which totalled 400,000 rupiah. The\nvictim then demanded payment and refused to leave the assailant\u2019s house\nuntil he had settled the debt.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause the assailant had not paid, the victim waited on the\nassailant\u2019s veranda whilst awaiting payment,\u201d Yusuf explained.<\/p>\n
Whilst the victim was sitting waiting for payment, the assailant\nsuddenly approached from behind and immediately launched the\nassault.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe assailant struck the victim from behind using the LPG cylinder\napproximately 10 times until the victim fell,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
The victim managed to get up, but was struck again by the assailant\nuntil he fell once more. This brutal assault continued whilst the victim\nwas defenceless and covered in blood.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter the victim fell, the assailant covered the victim\u2019s head with\na sack and then resumed striking with the 3 kilogramme green-coloured\nLPG cylinder,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cFortunately, the victim was rescued after receiving medical\ntreatment at a hospital,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
After the assault, the assailant fled the scene, leaving the victim\nwith serious head wounds. The assailant subsequently hid in Pandeglang\nRegency, Banten.<\/p>\n
After evading authorities for approximately two weeks, Jaenudin was\nfinally apprehended by the Criminal Investigation Unit of Pamarayan\nPolice Precinct at his hiding place in Citereup Village, Panimbang\nDistrict, Pandeglang Regency, on Wednesday (11 March).<\/p>\n
