Man falls into hot tin liquid<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A man was severely injured on Wednesday after
\nfalling into a container filled with hot liquefied tin.<\/p>\n
The incident happened at 9 a.m. when 20-year-old Partahian,
\nwho had just begun his first day of work with equipment
\nmaintenance firm PT Bumi Kaya, was trying to repair a piece of
\nconstruction equipment located above the 6 x 4.5 meter container.<\/p>\n
"On his way to reach the damaged part of the equipment,
\nPartahian slipped and fell into the container," a relative said.<\/p>\n
Partahian plunged chest-deep into the hot liquid but managed
\nto grab the edge of the container before he was grabbed by his
\ncolleagues.<\/p>\n
He was immediately taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo General
\nHospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
A doctor at the hospital's emergency unit said 65 percent of
\nPartahian's body was burned.<\/p>\n
However, no statement was issued by representatives of the
\ncompany, who were present at the hospital, about the company's
