Man arrested for killing wife<\/p>\n
BOGOR (JP): Forty-five-year-old Agus bin Karta reportedly
\nconfessed on Tuesday to killing his second wife Lilis, 35, whose
\nbody was found in a ditch near their house in Leuwiliang
\nsubdistrict in Bogor on Saturday morning, police said.<\/p>\n
Bogor Police chief Lt. Col. Ade Husein said the murder was
\ntriggered by a quarrel the couple had on Friday night.<\/p>\n
\"Agus accused Lilis of having an affair with another man. And
\nhis wife replied that she was cheating on him,\" Ade said.<\/p>\n
Agus then reportedly tried to talk things out with Lilis, but
\nshe became furious and run toward a rice field.<\/p>\n
The husband then chased Lilis and grabbed her by the arms.<\/p>\n
\"Agus said he hit Lilis' head twice with a rock, dragged her
\ninto the ditch around the paddy field and left the body,\" Ade
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Agus denied having anything to do with Lilis' death when first
\nquestioned by the police. He claimed he was not in the house on
\nthe night of the murder.<\/p>\n
But after police questioned witnesses and checked available
\nevidence, Agus confessed to the killing, saying he was jealous of
\nand angry at his wife.<\/p>\n
The case is being further processed by the Bogor Police.
