Man arrested for killing prostitute<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Police have arrested a man for last week's
\nkilling of a prostitute at an unauthorized red-light district in
\nCakung, East Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Abdul Fatah, 22, was arrested yesterday evening at his house
\nin Jatinegara.<\/p>\n
During police questioning, Fatah confessed that he met Misri,
\nalias Royanti, at 11 p.m. on Saturday at the prostitution
\ncomplex, an officer said on Thursday.<\/p>\n
After long bargaining, Royanti agreed to Rp 20,000 (US$9) for
\nthe night.<\/p>\n
However, Royanti learned that her client was a clever
\nbusinessman, who wanted to spend the money effectively.<\/p>\n
When Fatah wanted to continue for a fourth time, at about 3
\na.m., Royanti said she wanted to rest, said the officer, who
\nasked not to be identified.<\/p>\n
When the 28-year-old woman fell asleep, Fatah went to the back
\nof the brothel and took a mortar, with which he hit Royanti on
\nthe head at least eight times.<\/p>\n
Royanti died two days later, the officer said.<\/p>\n
Police obtained the suspect's identification from another
