Man apprehended for abusing underaged boys<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A man, identified only as Vr, 49, yesterday was
\nreportedly caught by police having sexual relations with
\nunderaged boys in his house at Cipinang, East Jakarta.<\/p>\n
City police spokesman Lt. Col. Bambang Permantoro said that
\npolice began trailing Vr, a band player, after receiving
\ncomplaints about his behavior.<\/p>\n
\"Police received the information about his behavior from his
\nneighbors,\" Bambang said.<\/p>\n
Vr, on the night he was caught, reportedly brought a 12-year-
\nold boy, identified as Rus, home with him at around midnight,
\naccording to Bambang.<\/p>\n
Police also found a 14 year-old boy, identified as Sup, in
\nVr's house. According to Bambang, Sup had been locked in the
\nhouse for two weeks.<\/p>\n
\"Sup has admitted that he had been sexually abused and locked
\nup by Vr,\" Bambang said.<\/p>\n
Vr, who was placed in detention at the Duren Sawit police
\nprecinct, admitted to being homosexual and having a preference
\nfor underaged boys. He has been divorced since 1990.<\/p>\n
\"Vr pursued the boys by offering them money. After the boys
\nwere interested he took them to his house,\" said Bambang.<\/p>\n
Police found out that at least four other boys -- identified
\nonly as DI, 11, So, 14, S, 12, and To, 12 -- also had been
\nsexually abused by Vr. One of the boys, To, had also been beaten
\nby Vr, according to Bambang.<\/p>\n
\"Vr picked up his victims on the street,\" Bambang said.<\/p>\n
A number of acquaintances of Vr, Su, Sa, He and Jo, who were
\ninvestigated by police, confirmed Vr's sexual inclination,
\nBambang said.<\/p>\n
Vr, according to Bambang, will face charges of sexual abuse
\nagainst underaged children, which carries a maximum sentence of
